Elissa Strauss is a senior strategist and writer for ChangeCommunications.  She works with clients on shaping messaging and building strong narratives that sit at the center of their communications work. Elissa assists clients with the writing and editing of materials such as talking points, brochures, blog posts, op-eds and more. She also works on clients' online operations, improving the design and editorial components of their websites, and implementing holistic social media strategies. 

As a freelance journalist, she covers culture, religion and women’s issues for publications such as the New York Daily News, the American Prospect, Slate, Salon and the Forward, where she is a contributing editor to the Sisterhood blog. Elissa is also the co-artistic director of LABA: House of Study  at the 14th Street Y.
